Study reveals 1 in 20 Canadians is a ‘food addict’

A pretty shocking recent article from The Globe and Mail, “Too much of a good thing: Study reveals 1 in 20 Canadians is a ‘food addict'”, is a pretty stark damning of not just the general health (I hate to say obesity, but there it is) of the Canadian population, but also what forms that health takes into account.  I was probably, when I was my heaviest, one of those food addicts.  I didn’t say no to anything.  I knew I was an addict – I was always a sucker for fat and salt.  That said, I just never knew how many there were.  5% of the population is pretty huge, and I wonder how many of those are children.
